about pia simeoni
pia simeoni has been a web enthusiast since the early days of the web, having proposed building a web site as part of a promotional plan assignment in graduate school back in 1994. her team tried to demonstrate "the web" using one of the first graphical browsers, Mosaic, and although there were technical difficulties during the presentation, that didn't stop pia from pursuing her interest in web technologies. in 1996 she learned to code html by hand and started developing web sites in her free time.in 2003, her experience earned her a position as adjunct instructor of internet marketing to college students at the international academy of design and technology in chicago, where she taught for 3 years. she now works in the web strategy department at Walgreen Co. and enjoys weekends outdoors with her family.
